How To Build This In GHL

Click by click... exactly what to do.

Open GHL in another tab and follow these steps. Every button, every field, every click.

  1. I.Create The Workflow — Click Automation → Workflows → + New Workflow → Start From Scratch. Name it Post-Session Survey and click Continue.
  2. II.Add If/Else For MUA — Click +, add If/Else. Set condition: contact tag includes your first MUA tag (e.g. 'emily'). Build the email and SMS sequence inside that branch.
  3. III.Add Additional MUA Branches — Below the first If/Else add another If/Else for each additional MUA. Build the same sequence inside each branch with that MUA's personalized copy.
  4. IV.Build The No-MUA Branch — Add a final else branch for contacts with no MUA tag. This branch can end silently or send a generic survey link.
  5. V.Test Then Publish — Test with a contact tagged for each of your MUAs. Confirm each branch fires correctly. Then publish.
Why This Works

The form personalization that matters most.

The survey URL is the same for everyone but the gratuity section changes based on which MUA she had. Use conditional logic on form fields based on contact tags to make this work.

Troubleshooting

Something not firing? Start here.

Everyone going to the same branch

Go to the contact record and check which tags are actually applied. Then go into the If/Else action and confirm the condition is reading the correct tag exactly character for character.

SMS not delivering

Confirm your GHL phone number is active and A2P approved. Unapproved numbers cannot send SMS in the US. Go to Settings → Phone Numbers → Compliance to check your A2P registration status.

Survey responses not showing up

Make sure the survey form is Published and the link in your messages points to the live version not a preview URL. Submit a test response yourself to confirm the form is working end to end.
